This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Burbank is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Burbank follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This is one of those hype places that people who think they're hip or allies or whatever will go to. The coffee is usually good but on the last occasion it tasted burnt and flavorless. Asked it to be remade and the guy at the front gave me a look like that's impossible. Instead of fixing it, he added more of the flavor, but still tasted bad. Did not ask if I was happy with it or offered to make me content as a customer after having spent $14 + tip on a small coffee and a croissant. On top of all that, gave tip when ordering and was neither acknowledged nor thanked. Poor business. Last time I come here, and this is someone who has frequented this place often. The only redeeming quality is the croissant, but that's not made fresh here, either.

I recently visited a coffee gem called Black Elephant Coffee. It has a calm outdoor space perfect for studying or relaxing with friends. Inside, the vibe is welcoming, and the barista was so sweet, she gave me a few suggestions. I went with the horchata latte, and it was amazing, like cinnamon bliss in a cup! If youβre into cozy vibes and delicious coffee, I definitely recommend checking them out!

Good coffee and espresso! Yes, they are pricey ($6 lattes) but at least you get a nice cup of coffee for the price - not always a guarantee in LA. Staff are friendly and my order was made right away, even at times when there was a line. They pay attention to customers and make sure orders are placed and made timely. I like the patio too!! There are no frills here but itβs better for that fact - nice chill place to enjoy your morning coffee.

Stumbled across this place while going on a walk on Mongolia. Beautiful inside, didnβt go on a too busy of a time so was able to chill in the couch seating they have. The baristas were able to recommend drinks to me. I tried the Charcoal Rose Latte (made it half sweet) and it was so good. Very refreshing and a different drink I have never tried before. So many drinks to choose from! Would definitely come in again!

Black Elephant Coffee is a hidden gem in Burbank for true coffee lovers. You can tell theyβre fully focused on making the best brews, everything from their espresso to specialty drinks is top-tier. The staff is friendly, and the vibe is warm and welcoming. However, the space is more suited for relaxing or catching up with a friend than for working or business meetings, limited seating and not the most laptop-friendly setup. Still, if youβre here for the coffee, you wonβt be disappointed.
